I have activated my Sporfie trial. How do I get a streaming link to stream from OBS?

If you are on a trial plan, we would recommend you create an organization from your User Account at the top right of the web app.

 

Then from the Organization page, click on "Settings" on the right side of the page, then select Recording Devices to create a new RTMP link.

 

Once the link is created, you can click the "i" icon next to it to display the details of the server URL and stream key.

 

In OBS, please use the following video settings:

• Resolution 1280x720 (720p). 1080p is supported but available on demand.
• H264
• Bitrate: 2000-3000 Kbps, CBR
• Keyframe Interval: 1s

To attach your stream key to a specific event, you can follow this article for GoPro but would work the same if you stream from OBS. Simply skip the first part of the article and follow the instructions above to create a recording device (aka encoder) on the Organization instead of doing it on your user account.

 

Recording devices created on a user account can be visible only to that user, while recording devices created on Organization would be visible to other users set as Admins on the Organization.
