To create your own event in the Sporfie app, tap "Create Event" from the Home Screen or tap the "+" (plus) sign in the upper right-hand corner of the Events screen.
You will be prompted to provide the details of the event, including:
- Name (Required): Provide a title that is clearly recognizable to anyone in attendance, as others in your same location will be able to view the event and join. Note: If you use the two team names with either “vs” or “@” between them, the names will be auto filled in the “Teams” fields below.
- Organization (Required): If your user account has been added to your organization’s account, you will see an option to choose that here, otherwise, you will see “None.” Choosing the correct organization will ensure your event appears on the designated landing page and will also allow you to use the streaming plan centrally purchased by the Club/Organization Admin.
- Campaign (Optional): If your organization is using Raise to fundraise, you should set this to "default" to show all your sold logos on the live stream.
- Access Code (Optional): If you want to restrict access to your event, you can create an event-specific pin code by turning on the “Access Code” option on the event creation screen.
- Camera Control Code (Optional): To limit who can add a camera stream to your event, activate the “Camera Control Code” option and set a pin code.
- Select Sport (Required): Select your sport. Each sport has a highlight clip length that best suits that sport, so it is important that you select the correct one.
- Teams (Optional): If you add “vs” or “@” in the “Title” section above, the two team names will be auto-filled here.
- Location (Required): Your location will be automatically detected and added. If you’re creating an event for later, make sure to manually adjust the location to where the event will be played (see screenshot below).
- Event Date and Time (Optional): If the event you are creating is starting shortly, you can choose “Now” or simply close the event, and the event will start immediately. If not, choose the date and time of when your event is scheduled to start. That information is used to indicate to your audience the expected start time of your stream.
- Event Poster (Optional): If you want to change the event thumbnail picture to be identifiable for your fans, a picture of the team or team logo is recommended. If not, a default image will be used during the game and will change to a still image from your video stream once the event has ended.
- Clip Length (Optional): Your clip length will be auto-selected depending on the sport you choose, however, you can adjust the total length of your clip and choose how far back and forward you’d like to save in this section.
