Welcome! Here's how to watch WFTDA events, follow along on your devices, and join the conversation.
Best Ways to Watch
WFTDA events can be watched in three ways:
- Web: wftda.sporfie.com — the same site where you purchased your pass. Upcoming, live, and past events are all available there year-round.
- Sporfie mobile app (iOS and Android)
- Sporfie Apple TV app
A few quick tips:
- Sign in with the same email you used to purchase your pass. This is the most common reason viewers run into access issues.
- On the web, browse all events at the top of the page. When games are live, they also appear in the Live section.
Watching on your TV (casting): Casting works across a wide range of setups — iOS or Android to Apple TV, Chromecast, AirPlay-compatible devices, and smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, and others. Because device combinations vary so much, the easiest path depends on what you have. If you run into trouble casting to your specific setup, reach out to support and we'll help you get connected.
A note for iOS mobile browser viewers: If you've experienced random buffering while watching on the mobile browser version on an iOS device, we've made a change that should resolve it. As part of this fix, while an event is live, rewind on the mobile browser is temporarily limited to the past 10 minutes. Once the event ends, the full replay is immediately available with no limitation. Desktop browsers and other platforms aren't affected at any point. We'll restore full in-live rewind on mobile browsers as soon as it's stable.
Finding WFTDA Events in the App
With the latest version of the Sporfie apps on iOS, Android, and Apple TV, any event or organization you've purchased a pass for is shown to you automatically — no follow step required.
To find WFTDA events in the app:
- Home screen: Look for the "From WFTDA" section.
- Groups menu: WFTDA will appear under the Featured section.
.
Make sure you're signed into the app with the same email you used to purchase your pass.
How to Manage the Chat
You can customize how chat works for you — your display name, where messages appear, and whether they show up on the video itself.
To open chat settings, click the gear icon in the chat area.
From there you can:
- Change your display name — this is the name other viewers see when you post.
- Add a role (optional) — a short title shown next to your name, like "Commentator" or "Player."
- Choose chat placement — display the chat in a side panel next to the video, or below the video.
- Toggle messages on the video stream — uncheck Show chat messages on the video stream if you'd rather watch without messages overlaying the action.
Click Save changes when you're done.
